Canada leading global Earth Hour effort

March 19, 2008

Many countries will participate in Earth Hour on March 29 at 8 pm, but Canada is leading the global effort on both the number of individuals who have signed up for the event and the number of cities participating. To date almost 30,000 Canadians, including all of your Scribblers' Club team, have registered their participation for Earth Hour and more than 60 cities from coast to coast have also pledged to turn off the lights on March 29.
